Expertise: making mistakes or at least "taking the long way around" is where i have the most expertise. my friends say i am a good actor and that i can sing a bit. a few friends say i can write, and not just my name in cursive. none of this defines me, really. stick around and make a connection that we both need.

Welcome to the Cruel World

and... once again i am late for class. most of the time i spend on the web makes my feel like dewey finn (a.k.a. jack black) in "school of rock"; both underprepared and desiring to cut out early because "i got some stuff to do." but then again "it's cool. i can stay."

i feel disconnected from my geographically fat circle of friends. i am never online and i hate the telephone. i don't have the money for all the postage i need to write so i guess my internet time needs to improve.

i have a myspace that i hardly ever use but want to. i never know what to post here and what to do there so i think i will just hit both as much as i can. i work two jobs now which means i am always tired and rarely thinking about running home to jump on the 'net. my friendships mean so much to me and more than just a place to stay when i want to take a vacation. xanga seems kind of "not" while myspace is "hot" so you might start seeing less of me here and more of me there. at least i hope so. okay.

i want to start playing a game with my online friends but i will do it at myspace.

uhh, so... yeah.

"good to be back."

"thanks for your patience."

"please excuse our stardust as we are expanding your universe."

what do you say when you haven't said anything in a while? i don't know. i'll just keep going and hopefully you will forget a sorry opening by the time i'm done.

there is a lot of change going on. i just started a second job this week; finished training yesterday morning. now i work for miller's ale house and chili's. i also host saturday night karaoke at ted's hideaway. also i moved off the ale house server schedule and onto the expo one with a double bar shift on sundays. maybe a little less money made at expo but i love to work it and that means more than money anyway.

i moved out. bartow is 20 minutes from south lakeland on a good traffic/weather day, and i now live 5 minutes from chili's and 7 or so from ale house. i moved in with matt and ryan but i know them as "ray-ray" and "latex". don't ask and i won't have to tell.

my number is still the same. i always feel weird putting info on the web so call kasey or patrick or teresa or hembree for my number.

i still miss her.

i was in a karaoke contest this past saturday (22 october) and performed near-perfectly but did not win the 5000 dollar purse. ray-ray was in it also and as always performed better than i did. he was perfect and seeing he and his dad singing each word together was worth 5 bamigazihillion bucks. beautiful. he sang "r.o.c.k. in the u.s.a." by john cougar mellencamp and "bust a move" by young mc. i sang "wonderboy" by tenacious d and "footloose" by kenny loggins. we tore the roof off the mother sucker and 40 friends were there to see part or all of it. it was a stupendous night featuring all of murph's emotions at their height and depth. wow.

i guess that's it. thanks as always for reading. i have internet at the house now so get ready for more updates. oh, and has anyone seen "waiting" yet? i have yet to check it out but i did get the "batman begins" double-dvd and love all i have seen so far. leave me a comment but do not, DO NOT spoil "waiting" for me. if you do, i'll have to stab you in the jaw. just look for me in the lobby as you leave. i'll be the guy stabbing jaws. there's not too many of us.

peash out.

so i am back. what has been going on?

i have a question... what is the record going to be for my irish this year? are you kidding me??! 2-0 on the road to start the season? and they beat michigan??!

now look. my brother keeps me grounded when it comes to sports. i used to be awful. i was able to tell you manute bol's field goal percentage and even break it down to week, month or harvest moon. i could tell you michael jordan had a hang-nail due to gardening and i knew the type of foilage that did him in. in other words, sports became like my spirituality, turning from a relationship that meant something into a fact-finding almanac search so that i could write a term paper on the subject. now my spirituality is just that, spiritual, and my sports mean something again.

i love the red sox, celtics, notre dame fighting irish, and any tennessee team. that's it. no numbers or gardening tips to share.

so what do you think about the irish record this year?

love you guys.

MAN!! i am really not happy about something. really. not happy.

i need to trust that God is able, my biggest struggle of faith. able to change me, my heart. able to change someone else if he wants. i want it but maybe it's better the way it is. i don't know.

tennessee has really relaxed me but i almost don't want to be. arrgh. give me faith.

i love my brother. he is an innovative world changer who cares for others and is honest. and he's my hero.

feeling peaceful this afternoon. tennessee is beautiful but i am ready to go home and start the push for the big apple in a fresh new way. my God loves me so much.
